ResMed has released an Urgent Field Safety Notice regarding the magnetic clip used in certain ResMed masks' headgear attachment system. If you have magnet-related concerns and wish to change or buy a new mask, please send us a message:

Affected masks: AirFit F20 and F20 for Her, AirTouch F20 and F20 for Her, AirFit F30, AirFit F30i, AirFit N10 and N10 for Her, AirFit N20 and N20 for Her, AirTouch N20 and N20 for Her, and AirFit F20 NV.

What has changed: masks with magnets must not be used by patients, or anyone in close physical contact while the mask is in use, who have active medical implants that interact with magnets or metallic implants containing ferromagnetic material. Keep the mask magnets at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from implants or medical devices that may be affected by magnetic interference.

Page 3 of 5. Actions to take: if you or anyone in close contact has an implant listed in the contraindications, replace your mask with one without magnets and contact your mask provider for options. All other patients may keep using their mask, following the updated instructions. Also explains how to report an adverse event.
