Follow the instructions for each part
Your device, mask, tubing, water chamber, and filters may have different care requirements. Use each manufacturer's cleaning method and schedule.
A practical cleaning routine
- Turn off and unplug the device before cleaning. Let heated parts cool.
- Wash only the parts identified as washable, using the recommended cleaning solution.
- Rinse those parts thoroughly and let them air dry as instructed before reassembly.
- Wipe the outside of the device as directed. Never submerge the electrical unit.
Memory foam needs different care
ResMed UltraSoft memory foam cushions must not be rinsed or submerged. Follow the cushion's own instructions; do not apply a silicone-cushion cleaning routine to foam.
Do I need a sanitizing device?
An add-on device does not replace the manufacturer's cleaning process. Read the FDA guidance below before choosing a product that claims to sanitize your CPAP device or supplies.
